Glass Bead Making
Beginning Bead Making
Experience turning molten glass into beautiful beads. You will learn the basics, including mandrel preparation and use of tools to shape beads. Expect to finish six beads in this three-hour class. Arrive on time for important safety information, equipment and tool usage. Wear cotton clothing and close-toed shoes. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class.

Continuing Bead Making
Have you taken the beginning bead making class but don't feel ready for the advanced class? Do you want some time with an instructor to be able to ask questions and practice what you've already learned? Wear cotton clothing and closed toed shoes. You must beat least 18 years old to take this class and have completed beginning glass bead making, or have equivalent experience.

Advanced Bead Making
Learn about foils and dichroic glass, hollow beads and other unique techniques. This class is for the intermediate bead maker. Prior bead- making experience is required. You must be 18 years old and already have completed our beginning glass bead making class, or have equivalent experience. Wear cotton clothing and closed toed shoes. Two-day class.

Murini
Torch Murini
Have you ever dreamt about combining the intricate details of palmer clay inlay with a hot glass process? Murini are formed on the torch to complement your glass bead making. Different glasses will be explored. Previous lampworking experience required. You must be 18 years. Wear cotton clothing and closed toed shoes Three-day class.

Fusing
Introduction to Glass Fusing
Glass fusing is easy to learn, but the results are gorgeous! You will learn the basic principles of glass cutting and fusing in this one-day workshop as you design and prepare small pieces for fusing. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class. Close toed shoes.

You can easily transform flat pieces of glass into beautiful jewelry, picture frames, bowls, plates or other decorative pieces using a kiln to melt, or fuse, the glass. You can finish several projects. Beginners and experienced folks are both welcome. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class. Closed toed shoes.
Date: Sat-Sun, June 7-8
Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Combo Fusing
Combo Fusing: Torch components combined with other precious metals, lusters, mica, dichroic and other items to create a truly gorgeous one of a kind art glass piece. Raking to manipulate hot glass. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class. Three-day class.

Casting & Molds
Mold Making & Glass Casting

Learn how to make your own molds for fusing & glass casting in this two-day workshop. Explore the exciting possibilities of glass casting too.

Parent/Teen Fusing
You can easily transform flat pieces of glass into beautiful jewelry, picture frames, bowls, plates or other decorative pieces using a kiln to fuse, the glass together. You can expect to finish several projects. Parents and teens are encouraged to work as teams. Wear close-toed shoes.

Parent/Teen Bead Making
Experience the art of turning molten glass into beautiful beads. You will learn the basics, including mandrel preparation and use of marvering tools to shape beads. Expect to finish several beads in this three-hour class. Arrive on time for important safety information, equipment and tool usage. Wear cotton clothing and close toed shoes. Parents and teens are encouraged to work as teams.

Jewelry
Lost Wax Casting
Design beautiful jewelry, starting with a wax model you create. You will learn the entire lost wax process, including preparing the wax form, creating a plaster mold, burning out the wax and casting your piece. Basic wax techniques will be covered. The instructor will not cover extensive wax carving procedures.

Lapidary Workshop
Learn to take a rock from its rough and natural state to a polished stone ready to be used in any number of fine art projects and jewelry pieces. Each session will be one-on-one with the instructor.

Dichroic Jewelry
Each student will create FIVE uniquely different dichroic glass jewelry pieces including three different types of pendant beads. Students will learn how to design their creations using a production method and will also learn glass-cutting techniques. Students will also learn about finishing skills to complete their jewelry pieces.

You make glass beads now what?
Explore the mysteries of bead stringing, clasp fabrication, making hand-made earring hooks and more. Creative design concepts will also be covered. Bring your lamp worked beads and filler beads to string.

Glass Blowing
Workshops
Learn the seductive and ancient art of glass blowing! Turning a hot liquid into a solid physical form is magical. Fire River Art Glass has glass blowing workshops three weekends a month.
