Beginning Bead Making

Experience the art of turning molten glass into beautiful beads. You will learn the basics, including mandrel preparation and use of marvering tools to shape beads. Expect to finish several beads in this three-hour class. Arrive on time for important safety information, equipment and tool usage. Wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class.

Do you want some time with an instructor to be able to ask questions and practice what you've already learned? Wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class and have completed beginning glass bead making, or have equivalent experience. Date: By appointment. Cost: $95 + extra materials

Torch Work
Ornaments

Learn about foils and dichroic glass, hollow beads and other unique techniques. This class for the intermediate bead maker. Prior bead-making experience is required. You must be 18 years old and already have completed our beginning glass bead making class, or have equivalent experience. Wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. Three-day class. Date: Monday or Wednesday or Weekends by appointment. Cost: $190 + extra materials

 

Make it round, make it pretty. Plain, or with frit. Lattacino, implosions, and maybe a vortex marble are in your future. We will explore backing and decoration in this two session class. You must have some torch experience before taking this class. Arrive on time for important safety information, equipment and tool usage. Wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class.
Cost: $190, materials included

 

Learn how to make simple Christmas ornaments on the torch.  Candy canes, perhaps a tree or snow man. Maybe some icicles or even a star. Multiple techniques will be demonstrated to achieve different effects. Previous torch experience helpful, but not required. Arrive on time for important safety information, equipment and tool usage. Wear cotton clothing and closed toe shoes. You must be at least 18 years old to take this class.
